I am a media artist, hardware hacker, educator and entrepreneur living in central New Jersey. I am also a process artist, focusing on the method of transmission from concept to final communication. The work I create moves fluidly between exhibition, performance, historical research, circuit design and computer code. The goal of that work is to entice people to consider our relationship with technology and the impact it has on our lives.
This catalog is an overview of many of my creative works since 2006. I pursue my projects over several years, incorporating social and historical research, development of my own electronic and digital toolset, and creation of the performances and exhibitions themselves.My projects are accompanied by workshops, exhibitions and open-source electronics and software releases. This allows me to give back to the community, and let my processes and tools become integrated into the creative work of other digital artists and musicians.
